Author points out the fact that mother, now expecting a seventh child, ignored all messages and deactivated her social media accounts. Andrew Johnson says that she was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for two years. Judge Murray Creed said it was wilful abandonment but accepted that her
children, the youngest of which was three at the time, had been brought

I found this article true to life, it's a good example of how you should not take care of your children.

2. Do you think that she should be deprived of the parental rights?
3. Do you know anyone who left children home alone for a very long time?

It is absolutely unacceptable to leave children home alone, and even more for so a long time. If you need to go somewhere, you have to find a babysitter, someone who would look after your children. But here she has just wanted to go and throw the kids! Adequate mother who loves her children would has never acted in this way. I don't know anyone who left children home alone for a very long time. I believe that for such individuals there are not enough suspended sentence or jail. She should be in a psychiatric hospital! And of course she should be deprived of the parental rights.
ОтветитьУдалитьAfter reading this article, I thought that this woman has some mental problems... I have never seen before that people leave their children alone for such a long time. However I don't think, hat she should go to jail, but of course she should be deprived of the parental rights, because upbringing children - is a big responsibility and I don't think she can handle it.
ОтветитьУдалитьI find this article very realistic. It`s a pity, but nowadays we can hear more and more similar stories. Of course, it`s inadmissible to treat children in this way. How could she do it? I don`t understand it at all. That fact that she left her children alone without any control makes her an irresponsible person. I don`t think that she should go to the jail, however, I`m sure that she must be deprived of the parental rights. If she doesn`t understand the responsibility and value of having children, she shouldn`t be with them. I don`t know such people who leave their children alone at home for very long time. All parents whom I know try to leave their children with somebody if they need to go somewhere.

'...mother of six children flew to Austalia to see a man she met online after telling her children that she was going to Asda (local supermarket)' - that is the most irresponsible and, at the least, strange behaviour I've ever heard. If something like this happens again she definitely should be deprived of the parential rights and even jailed, because she endagers life of her children. To be a mother is the most responsible and major role in the world. And such actions from her directions are hardle admissable. I think that some child care departments should control their family and the mother's behaviour.
ОтветитьУдалитьIt's OK to leave your child for a short period of time a t home alone, everyone does it, because they don't have choice. Fortunately, I don't know such people who leave their children alone for a long time.
I think that to leave your children alone in such a long time without supervision and told them that you're going to the supermarket and go to Australia to see a man whom you had met in Net is awful. And it is insted of mother's duty.When you leave your child alone for 15 minutes, you are anxious about him/her. And here she simply went abroad. I agree with Valery Z. "She should be in a psychiatric hospital!" and be deprived of the parental rights.

In our time people are hollowed out and empty. They lose the ability to distinguish between valuable and irrelevant. This is not just a problem of this article or of a particular family, it is a global problem of modern society. The family, which is the main social institution, is not in the first place for many people. It seems that the laws of nature begin to prevail over reason, as it was in ancient times, when primitive people lived instincts and behaved like animals.

I hate such "mummies" if I can call them so.
She must go to gail and she must be deprived of the parental rights. Such people can be impossibly acquitted!!!!
